2K Games has secured a seasoned producer from the creators of Apex Legends to direct the development team at their internal studio, which is currently crafting the forthcoming over-the-shoulder action-packed title known as this innovative game.

The new appointee assumes the leadership position at the development studio following the exit of previous head the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was reportedly let go due to Project Ethos' lackluster early showing last autumn.

Recently, 2K president a key figure informed team members about this decision through an internal memo, which stressed that early feedback sessions had revealed the need for a clearer direction.

The president expressed that the developers is now overhauling Project Ethos with a renewed focus, aiming to address community desires.

The player input from last fall’s the game demo was informative. It confirmed the appeal of a roguelike shooter but told us we still had refinements needed. It revealed the requirement for a more distinct identity.

It’s been inspiring to see how far you’ve advanced. You took the criticism to consideration and revamped Project ETHOS with a renewed vision - one that’s ready to achieve its potential to our players.

The appointee currently serves in the position of executive producer and head of production at Respawn Entertainment for their flagship title. He previously was employed at major gaming companies in various production roles on the Call of Duty games, and, before that, had stints at 2K and Electronic Arts.

Game Details and Vision

Project Ethos was revealed in last year in conjunction with a early access event. At the time, 31st Union presented the game as a "no-cost, third-person perspective action-packed experience and an exciting evolution on the style."
